Casa Batlló

Duration of Visit

1 Hour

Distance to the Port

20 Minutes

Casa Batlló is a building designed by architect Antoni Gaudí, the highest representative of the Catalan modernism, between 1904 and 1907. It is located at number 43 on Passeig de Gràcia in Barcelona, the wide avenue that crosses the modernist district of the Eixample. It was commissioned by Josep Batlló i Casanovas, a textile entrepreneur linked to the Godó family by marriage. Its most well-known part is the facade, considered one of the most creative and original works of the architect; it combines stone, wrought iron, glass brickwork and polychrome ceramics.
