Barcelona’s Wonder: Another World Record

Cruise news has been buzzing with the arrival of Wonder of the Seas to the port of Cadiz earlier this month before finally arriving in Fort Lauderdale this past Sunday. The newest addition to Royal Caribbean’s Oasis Class fleet has a capacity of 6,800 passengers and 2,400 crew members. With 12 decks and 2,867 cabins she surpasses the current world’s largest cruise ship the Symphony of the Seas. As of May, the Wonder of the Seas is expected to carry out her summer season in Barcelona and join Barcelona Cruise Port’s portfolio of housing the world’s largest cruise giants. Since 2017, Barcelona Cruise Port has been the chosen summer destination for each and every one of the ships within the Oasis Class Fleet. Meaning that except for the disruption COVID has had on the cruise industry, Barcelona Cruise Port has hosted one of the world’s largest cruise ships for the last six consecutive years. Barcelona has been a Royal Caribbean favourite for new launches and Barcelona Cruise Port is excited to see Wonder of the Seas docked at our terminals during the summer months.
