Barcelona, Action!
Barcelona presents a variety for action seekers to participate in when they visit. Our warm climate gives the flexibility for visitors to try different attractions throughout the year as the best ones take place outside and around our beautiful nature. We recommend the following three top activities to consider in Barcelona if you are itching for some excitement while you are here.
We are privileged to be the home of one of the biggest and most historical football clubs in the world. FC Barcelona is the definition of excitement, as the whole city is bursting with passion anytime the players step onto the field. Since 1899, they have built a reputation of being a highly competitive club globally, aiming to win the trophy in whichever competition they are involved with. This is only bolstered by the 70+ trophies in their cabinet along with the countless football legends that have graced the pitch donning the iconic Blaugrana.
Tibidabo is the hill on the North-West that sports the tallest point in the city. Once at the top, you get a wonderful panoramic view of the entire city and even more. The main thrill will come from the journey to and from the top of Tibidabo. The path is a long and windy dirt road all the way up, presenting a wonderful track for mountain bikers and hikers. Along with the physical challenge, you are treated to the wonderful nature throughout the hill with the final view being the cherry on top.
Unbeknownst to most, Barcelona is known as one of the top rock-climbing destinations in Europe. Via Ferrata, which translates to climbing paths, are prevalent across the city outskirts with multiple paths in varying difficulties, which makes it suitable for any level of adventurer. Montserrat is one of the most famous landmarks around Barcelona and being able to scale it yourself would be a bucket list opportunity for any avid adventure seeker.
