The Day of Catalonia is celebrated on September 11 of each year. The events and celebrations take place mainly in the emblematic Gothic Quarter of the city. In spaces like the City Hall and the Palace of the Generalitat of Catalonia, the resistance of Barcelona during the War of Succession is commemorated.
During this day there are many events that can be very interesting to visitors to the city, as the Sardanas are danced in the squares of the city
and the Castellers (human castles), in addition to the different political acts that take place in the Catalan capital.
